The Housing Company has a strong team of professionals both in the Boise office and at the properties. Fourteen associates in the Boise office support over 50 resident managers and maintenance technicians that are the frontline for the day to day management of the portfolio.In addition to the property management staff we have a development team responsible for the development of new properties as well as preservation through acquisition/rehab of existing properties. Together we are a full service development and property management company.

Meet Our Team
Erin Anderson
Director
Erin has more than sixteen years of experience in affordable housing development, working on new construction and historic adaptive reuse projects throughout the Midwest. Erin’s passion for tackling affordable housing issues and improving quality of life through housing has led to the development of many affordable homes, the majority of which she spearheaded by working with communities that were overlooked by other developers. Erin, her husband, and two children moved to the Treasure Valley in 2020 from St. Paul, Minnesota.
Jennifer Rogers
Asset Operations Manager
Jennifer has overseen the property management operations and compliance for The Housing Company since 2008. She manages everything from the physical assets to the day-to-day operations of more than 1,500 units with an operating budget of more than $6.3 million a year. She was a housing compliance officer for Idaho Housing and Finance Association from 2002 to 2008. She has a Master of Business Administration from Boise State University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Ripon College. She serves on the board for the Idaho Affordable Housing Management Association and as past president of the Idaho Returned Peace Corps Volunteers.
Kathryn Almberg
Development Manager
Kathryn has been with Idaho Housing and Finance since 2001 and with The Housing Company since 2005. Kathryn is currently working part-time as a development manager, leading project activities from acquisitions and due diligence, financing, resource and grant applications to project-team hiring, coordination and construction. As the previous vice president and director of operations for The Housing Company, she oversaw all aspects of the company, including development, property management and accounting. She has more than 35 years of experience in finance and real estate development in Idaho, California and Nevada, building properties that range from apartments to business parks, office buildings and big box stores. She has used a variety of financing strategies to successfully complete difficult to develop properties, including historic rehabilitation and adaptive reuse using Historic Tax Credits. Kathryn serves on the Ada County Historic Preservation Council.
Nate Wheeler
Development Manager
Nate joined The Housing Company in August 2022. His background in real estate and construction helped mold him for this position. During his real estate career, he represented nine asset companies market and divest their real property assets. He also worked for a REIT, managing 1,400 assets in four states. He has negotiated commercial leases, land purchases and subdivision management. Most recently, Nate worked in construction as a business development manager for an award-winning general contractor, where he was responsible for building new relationships and project management. Nate is chaplain in the U.S. Army Reserves and serves on the Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission.
Tracie DeHaas
Senior Accounting Manager
Tracie has managed the accounting department at the Housing Company since 1999. She graduated from Boise State University and worked for an accounting firm, as a bank supervisor, and as an accountant for a property management company before coming to The Housing Company. Tracie oversees the accounting department and all of the daily monetary transactions, payroll, and entries into the numerous accounting systems. She compiles monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements for the many Partnerships, Corporations, and consolidated Housing Company entities. All projects require budgeting tracking and reporting, which is Tracie’s responsibility. Additionally, she is the coordinator for the many online HUD systems.
